Energy saver lights? Are they a fire hazard? If So where do I complain too?
In my house I have 25 of these bulbs and I have seen a 50 to 75 dollar reductions in my hydro bill since installing them… But now that they have been working for a couple years I have had a coulpe stop working, no reason why just stop turning on.. and two of which have started flickering and start too melt and look as if they will start to burn, like catch fire. The first one I disregarded as a manufacture defult so I tossed in the garbage. Today I kept this one. has anyone else had this similar problem? If so tell me maybe we need to advise the comunity about this growing problem if it is not an isolated incedent. I am a singe father of four tryn to save money, and will this put my family in danger? Bothe my lights melted where the spirl goes into the base on one side only not both sides. These lights are not more than two years old. and other lights I have are four years old and still running good. I am lost here
I am running around 12 Energy Saving bulbs, most have been in for about 3 + years and have had no problems
